"Third and Main is very clean, safe and well appointed. It’s very close to the proton center and a great way to meet and make new friends. They host get togethers etc. Melissa does a terrific job of making us comfortable and has in-depth knowledge of the entire proton process. She makes a huge difference and her friendly smile and warm welcoming spirit always made our days s little brighter. We thank her and her staff for all they do."

"If you have to come to Jacksonville for treatment, Third and Main is the place you want to stay. The manager Melissa is great, she has a way of making you feel like you’re family. The attached restaurant has great food and service and the treatment center is only 5 min away. If I ever get the chance to recommend Third and Main, I will. I met several new friends during workouts in the gym, and with all the get togethers going on, you will not have time to be bored. GREAT PLACE!!!!"

"My husband and I were totally satisfied with our eight week stay at Third & Main. Melissa could not have been more welcoming & helpful. She obviously really cares about the people staying there. The location was ideal in that it was so close to the treatment center, and it was particularly helpful and comforting to be among other patients and families going through treatment. But one of the greatest things for us was that it is so pet-friendly. We had with us our Welsh Corgi and our sweet cat. They were as welcome as we were. For anyone going through treatment at UF, you could not find a better place to stay."

"Third and Main was a wonderful place to stay during my treatments at the UF Proton Therapy Institute. It was very easy to make the reservation and the staff is extremely helpful. UFPTI is only a short drive away and it is convenient to a number of restaurants and the downtown and San Marco districts. It was nice to be staying in a place where other patients are staying . The social interaction with other proton patients is very helpful. "

"Third and Main was the best place for us to stay during my treatment at UF Proton Therapy Institute. Virtually everyone else staying there was a UFPTI patient. As a matter of fact, 3rd and Main is pretty much an extension of the Proton Center. Living there was actually a continuation of patient support and therapy. Melissa and Debra always posted timely notices of events for the patients and their families, and actually joined in many of these events themselves. The two of them were very efficient and responsive in their management of the facility, and both were just a delight to be around. The suite we stayed in was roomy, clean, and well appointed. The on premise Uptown Kichen and Bar provided great food, drink and service."

"It was a very short drive to the Proton Center, just over a mile; I even walked a number of times. That makes it very convenient for taking the short call for treatment that happens occasionally as the schedule changes around the gantry times. It is also a very short drive to downtown Jacksonville, which is also an easy walk. The best part, though, was being surrounded by the "family" of Proton patients and their loved ones. When my treatment was over, Melinda and I both felt like we were leaving home, even though we were going home. We both highly recommend staying at Third and Main."

"Third and Main is a really great place to stay and it is not only people friendly, but also pet friendly. Melissa in the office will help you in anyway she can. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was nice and big. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, coffee pot, toaster and various other useful items. I really enjoyed looking at the historical houses in the neighborhood. The Uptown Restaurant has great food and low prices, plus long hours. The staff we met, Shane, Dawn, Matt and Roe were superb. I loved Sweet Pete's Pancakes. Yum."

For me, Third and Main was an oasis in the middle of a desert! As a Prospective patient of Florida Proton Therapy this past summer, I had a number of concerns about where I would stay during my 9 weeks in the program. Proximity was a primary factor as I was not accustomed to driving on heavily trafficked roads. Your property is a 5 minute drive in light traffic. Perfect! I wanted to find a property that had a full kitchen and had a bbq grill for outdoor grilling. You have one adjacent to your gazebo. This was definitely a plus. I would need a place close to a laundromat to do my laundry....you had a washer and dryer in each of your apartment. I was amazed when I stopped by in June to meet your manager, Melissa Markham, and tour one of your apartments. It was set up with all the amenities. A full kitchen (fully stocked!!), along with comfortable furniture in the living area. The recliner was a great addition, considering the treatment I would undergo. The washer and dryer were a much needed bonus for my stay away from home. Everything was so neat and clean. All I needed to move in were some groceries and my clothes. Both Melissa and Sherry answered all of my questions and seemed to be genuinely concerned about my well-being during my stay in Jacksonville. When I left, there was no doubt as to where I wanted to stay during my treatment and I was pleased, to say the least, when I was advised there was an available apartment to accommodate my needed dates. I'll end with how glad I am that I made the choice to stay with Third and Main and will share my preference with anyone I encounter who is considering a stay in Jacksonville. I hope to return for each of my follow-up visits in the future.
